Infrastructure & Security Engineer – Luton
Marshall Wolfe is recruiting an experienced Infrastructure & Security Engineer for a six-month fixed-term contract in Luton, Bedfordshire. The role offers hybrid working, with a maximum of one or two days per week required on-site.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced infrastructure professional with strong Microsoft technology and cyber security knowledge who can contribute to infrastructure upgrades, security improvements and technology transformation projects.

About Job
The Infrastructure & Security Engineer will join a technology team supporting a range of infrastructure and cyber security initiatives. The successful candidate will help modernise infrastructure, strengthen the organisation’s security posture and support important technology transformation projects.
The position combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with security responsibilities. You will work with Microsoft cloud and on-premise technologies, internal stakeholders and technology partners to deliver projects and improve the reliability and security of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and modernisation projects.
- ✅ Support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and on-premise infrastructure.
- ✅ Carry out infrastructure security reviews and implement appropriate improvements.
- ✅ Support vulnerability management and remediation programmes.
- ✅ Contribute to identity and access management initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- ✅ Strong experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows Server.
- ✅ Practical experience with Microsoft Defender and security-focused technologies.
- ✅ Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and CIS Controls.
- ✅ Experience delivering infrastructure migration, transformation or modernisation projects.
- ✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Certifications
- CISSP
- CCNP or CCNP Security
- Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- SC-100, SC-200 or SC-300
