Senior Network Engineer – Northampton
GXO Logistics is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join its technology team in Northampton. About Job
As a Senior Network Engineer at GXO Logistics, you will help support the implementation, operation and optimisation of enterprise network infrastructure across the company’s global operations. The role combines day-to-day network support with technical projects and service improvement activities.
You will work with internal teams, external suppliers and managed service partners to resolve incidents, coordinate deployments and maintain reliable network services. The position also involves occasional travel to the Northampton office and requires flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Support the planning and delivery of network deployments and NetMod rollouts.
- ✅ Work with Verizon, IBM Operations and other technical teams to resolve network incidents.
- ✅ Provide technical support across enterprise routing, switching, WAN, VPN and wireless networks.
- ✅ Act as a point of contact between internal teams and external technology suppliers.
- ✅ Contribute to network service improvements and operational process enhancements.
Eligibility Criteria
- ✅ Proven experience in network engineering, network operations or a similar technical infrastructure role.
- ✅ Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, WAN, VPN and WLAN.
- ✅ Experience with SD-WAN is highly desirable, with Fortinet SD-WAN experience considered an advantage.
- ✅ Experience working with outsourced or managed service environments and external vendors.
- ✅ Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage complex network incidents through to resolution.
